How To Make Money By Giving It Away

Encourage charitable groups to have a benefit night at your restaurant. Choose an evening that is typically slow, Tuesday or Wednesday from 5pm -8pm. The group invites all of their members to come and eat and then you donate a portion of the sales back to the organization. A portion can be as low as 10% or as high as 100%. Just remember to make it worth the charity’s time and effort.
Make sure to WOW everyone by being adequately staffed and having the Restaurant Manager on hand to touch every table. Make it feel like a festive event by having your mascot available (if you have one) to hand out balloons, shake hands and take pictures with your guests. After the event post the pictures (in the restaurant as well as your web-site) and invite guests to come back by and pick up their photo, which usually results in them dining with you again.
This is a great way to give back to your community while building goodwill that will result in sales!
