How To Build Restaurant Sales in January

Start NOW. Yes, this week and through New Year’s Eve.

If you haven’t already – consider a bounce back coupon or deal.

  • Make an exceptional offer, something of value that will drive guest back to your restaurant. Perhaps with a dinner for two purchase offer a free bottle of wine (get your liquor distributor to hook you up with a good deal) or a free appetizer or a specialty dessert.
  • Please forget the 10% off deal – really who is going to drive across town to save a buck or two? Not only that, every restaurant in town gives 10% off – it certainly does not set you apart.
  • Easy and quick deal – Have your guests save their dinner receipt from New Year’s Eve and bring it back anytime during the first two weeks of January for some type of freebie.
  • Put a time limit on the coupon or deal. For example it has to be used during the first two weeks of January.

When the rush of the holidays are over and guests are thinking about where they want to eat, they will be more likely to dine with you since you gave them an incentive.
